CALCI-D

- phosphorus in meat-based diets

- Helps to strengthen bones

- Palatable cheese flavour

- Ideal for pregnant bitches

- Liquid form ideal for puppies

WHY CHOOSE CALCI-D

Complete bone building package.

CALCI-D is a calcium supplement with vitamins A and D which are essential for calcium uptake and bone strengthening. The two forms of calcium provided by CALCI-D assist in the growth and maintenance of healthy bones, teeth, nervous system, muscle function, blood clotting and cardiac regulation.

Especially formulated for greyhounds.

CALCI-D is formulated especially for greyhounds fed on traditional meat based diets. These diets typically contain lower inadequate levels of calcium, as well as Vitamins A and D and other bone forming nutrients essential to maintain a strong muscular skeletal system.

Vitamins A and D play a role in the development and maintenance of healthy bones while Vitamin A is also essential for maintaining healthy vision and skin.

WHEN TO USE CALCI-D

Meats are very deficient in calcium (12mg/100g) and higher in phosphorus (160mg/100g), whereas the diet should contain a ratio of 1.2 - 1.4 parts calcium to 1.0 part phosphorus. The addition of the recommended amount of Calci-D in direct proportion to the weight of meat in the diet will provide an optimum 1.35 parts calcium to 1.0 part phosphorus ratio.

The label contains full instructions for supplementation of the diets for all types of greyhounds.

WHY DOES MY GREYHOUND NEED A CALCIUM SUPPLEMENT?

A supplement such as CALCI-D may be needed as meat-based diets are often low or imbalanced in calcium, phosphorus and Vitamins A and D, which are essential for skeletal development and strength.

Adequate calcium is vital to maintain the strength and maturation rate of bones in a racing greyhound, and to enable remodelling of bones in young greyhounds galloped on circle tracks.
